What we know about Cores
The Steam description confirms that Cores are collected during expeditions and make the player stronger within the roguelite run. Official updates also refer to Core Fragments, rarity colors, Core chests, weapon-specific fragments, refresh and skip logic, and a Core Fragment codex at the base.
Confirmed Core roles
- Weapon Cores reshape how guns handle, and weapon-specific Core Fragments can modify particular weapons.
- Combination Cores create synergies between different core sets.
- Other Cores can strengthen accompanying troops or interact with how the player uses those troops for survival.
- AG-14 increased Vortex Shell damage and expanded Thunderbolt Arrow's damage area; AG-12 separately named the Guided Bolts Core.
